Marilyn Jean Keller, 83, of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Harbor Chase Care Center in Aiken, South Carolina after a long illness. She was born on February 25, 1933 in Oberlin. Marilyn lived in Oberlin from 1965 to 1982 moving to Lorain from 1982 - 2002 then to Sheffield Lake until moving to Georgia, spending the winters in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Marilyn was a graduate of Fenn College (Cleveland State University) in 1955 and graduate school at Western Reserve. Marilyn was a member of the First Congregational Church of Lorain. She worked as an assistant director of the Erie Shore Girl Scouts for 23 years before retiring in 1995. Marilyn was a club member of the North Ridge Racquet club, Tennis cub in Avon Lake and the Vandemere club in Hilton Head. She enjoyed tennis, sailing, boating, bicycling and golf. Marilyn is survived by her son, Larry (Eva Ann) Keller of Waynesboro, Georgia; daughter, Lisa (Roy) Scherler of Medina; grandsons, John and Jordan; granddaughters, Andrea, Dana and Julia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean R. Keller and parents James and Marion Anderson. Visitation will be on Monday, August 15, 2016 at the home of Marilyn's daughter, Lisa Scherler at 3403 Coventry Lakes Dr., Medina, OH 44256. Graveside funeral service and interment will be on Tuesday, August, 16, 2016 at 11 A.M. at Westwood Cemetery in Oberlin with Pastor David Hill of First Church of Oberlin officiating.
