ELYRIA — The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office has scheduled a bomb squad drill Wednesday — including scheduled explosions.
The training, which is not open to the public, will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to a release from Sheriff’s Sgt. Randal Koubeck, and low-level explosive devices will be detonated. The statement says that people may hear the explosions in Carlisle Township, the eastern end of Amherst Township, the western end of Elyria and the southern end of Elyria Township.
Anyone with questions should call the sheriff’s office at 440-323-1212.
