WESTLAKE — A local woman was hospitalized with incapacitating injuries and her vehicle was damaged beyond recognition following a rollover crash Thursday night.
According to a news release from the Westlake police, Faith Gibbs, 46, was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox west on Westwood Road around 10:49 p.m. Thursday. She went left of center and hit trees, fences, street signs and a truck parked in a driveway on Westwood near the intersection with Brantwood Drive. The sport utility vehicle then rolled over, coming to rest on its roof, and was so badly damaged that officers on scene had to use registration documents to determine the vehicle’s make and model.
Gibbs was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Fairview Hospital. Police say she was cited for operating a vehicle impaired and failure to control.
